Bled, Slovenija

Hej to all of you!

Here I will be writing of another Slovenian destination that me and Adi had visited with my family during one of Adi´s visits in Slovenia. On this full day trip we have visited Lake Bled and Vintgar gorge. Bled is the symbol of Slovenian´s beauty, paradise! This is a must see in Slovenia, its nature is one of a kind and surely it will take your breath away. Lake Bled has the only island in Slovenia, impressing visitors with natural beauty, legends and personal well being. Not far from Lake Bled there is a Vintar gorge which is attracting visitors because of its exceptional beauty.  1,6 km long gorge among waterfalls, pools and cascades which will leave you speechless and with memory for a life time. Believe me, this is not about national devotion to the country but it truly is one of a kind experience with majesty natural beauty.

The Vintgar gorge

Because Slovenia is beautiful, full of nature and small we have came to this destination from Maribor. To there is just two hours drive and the drive on the regional road is beautiful. On this occasion we have not stayed at Bled as I wrote before we drove there, but we have saw accommodations that had caught our attention on spot and we have made a research about them on Booking for potential booking in the future. Because this spot just charms you in a way that you want to stay and to come back again. So that is why I am writing today with a bit of a twist, I will write about the accommodation at which we will stay in late spring 2018 and so can you, for the perfect weekend getaway! For a start our search filters for this destination on Booking were easy : great breakfast, lake side view with balcony, parking and perfect location for us to have as the most of experience for this short period of time there. So as we were scrolling, reading, comparing we came across to the Hotel Park – Sava hotels and resorts on Booking. I mean the pictures are breathtaking and we saw that hotel on the spot when we have visited Bled this spring, its location and outlook is just exceptional! The indoor is not any different then outdoor judging by the pictures. But what I have noticed is that Hotel Park in spring is really popular, so the person must plan to book asap, the best directly on our page, not to miss! But is always a good idea to book in summer, the water is crystal clear and people are bathing in it all the time. To me the feeling is like sea side but just for the chosen ones, is so intimate but still big, enough. I found so much of great stuff that Hotel Park is offering on Booking, such as gym, spa, 24h-front desk and it´s pet friendly. All the small things that counts at perfect environment. Additionally they are also presenting all the activities you can do for which they rent out or offering services, for ex. biking, hiking, skiing, golfing and tennis. But for us the trigger was the view that we saw on the picture overlooking Lake Bled and the Julian Alps. The picture in the head is just how amazing it will be to wake up to this view in the morning. But there are many more for you to choose, to favour all of interested in this destination we have listed bellow some of them. I already think how great it will be to plan sights to see and stuff do there. I mean terrace on Hotel Park in the evening is just perfect for it.

The Vintgar gorge

We were there this year a short period of time so we have done everything fast and as effectively as we could. But you just want to take pictures of everything, the time just slips away to fast, so the best thing is to book (true our page) a room not to need to speed, because this beauty deserves time. We have first stopped ant Vintgar gorge. The path will lead you there, a person can not give a lot of advices to a road that leads you by its own. But what a path it is. The last time I was there was is high school and again it was such a beautiful surprise for me at it was for Adi, who saw it for the firs time. The 1.6 km long Vintgar gorge carves its way through the vertical rocks of the Hom and Boršt hills and is graced by the Radovna with its waterfalls, pools and rapids. The educational trail leads you over wooden bridges and Žumr’s galleries, and ends with a bridge overlooking the mighty 13 m high Šum waterfall. When you come to the last bridge, find your way around it to come under the waterfall, is just great to take pictures and to enjoy in the view and the coolnes from the fall. As hard as it was we had to move forward not to loose the rest of the day at Bled, there is just so much to do. That is why we needed to prioritise what we will do, agreed on that a must is a walk around the lake, take the Pletna to the island, climb up to see the lake Bled from castle and to eat Blead cream cake. This is just an amazing place, so easily lead by the road that you feel instantly at peace. And along the way we find out that Bled city park was designed by the Swedish architect Carl Gustav Svensson, that indicates that in the past Slovenian – Swedish connection collaborated with great results and that was a great sign for the two of us.

The pictures will tell their own story why we loved it so much and why are we coming back and why you should also come.

This was just something little of what this town have to offer, hope you like it!

Yours sincerely,

triplandos.
