Hej to all of you!

In this post I will be writing about a Saturday afternoon in Graz, Austria with my Adi. My parents place is just 50km away from Graz, so we have decided to do a half day trip there, again first time for Adi. Graz and Maribor have a strong connection in many ways before, still present and for sure in the future. A lot of students go there to study, even more people from near border cities work there or just go there for a good shopping spread or a nigh out. For me it was always about that, I never took time to go and see what this cool town have to offer, so when Adi came to me with this idea I was more then all in! Graz is the capital of Styria and the second largest city in Austria after Vienna. It is situated on the Mur river which has always been important to the entire region. And is just amazing what have they did with the town and how have they preserved the past. The perfect combination of urbanism and history at one place.

So as I have previously mention we did not stay at Graz, but you have already got to know us till now. When I see new place in which I feel in love I instantly take the computer, open Triplando via Booking and search for perfect accommodation! You just have to love to search places to stay in Austria they are just the best at hotels and what they are offering for really reasonable price. And you have a lot to do there to, person can easily plan a vacation in this country. And you can book easily direct on our page via Booking, because we are partners with them. So in my research I have found a hotel in Graz that caught my attention, Hotel Wiesler Graz. This just look perfect by the criteria that we usually seek at the place to stay. Perfect location, parking, breakfast that you just cant wait to wake up in the morning, bar to chill in the evening and plan thing to do and unique room design. I want to go there now, just looking at this photos. Their entire interior design at this hotel is amazing and one of the kind, rustical and modern in the same time with a big artistic note. By their description Hotel Wisler is located right by the Mur River in the Old Town of Graz. Which is perfect for carefree walks and sightseeing in this cool town. Their restaurant Speisaal serves traditional Austrian and international cousine and what did the click on us was the pictures of their rich and varied breakfast buffet. Everything is so near The Kunsthaus museum is 100 m away, and the Mur Island is 300 m from Hotel Wiesler Graz. The Schlossberg Funicular can be reached in a 5-minute walk. Bicycles can be rented on site. You truly have a full service there. This hotel was the one that caught our attention but normally we were comparing to other via Triplando in collaboration with Booking, we listed a few of them bellow for you to check out!

What we have experience in this town for a short period of time was just great. One thing you just have to take your time to walk and see is Schlossberg. You can decide in the beginning if you will climb up by foot on the idilc stairs or you can take a super space ship like elevator – this is what we did or to take funicular, which we wanted to but it was not operating at that time. Either way you are in for a one of a kind experience. You did not even got up to the top and you already have an adventure. When you get up there is a whole other world, the view from every side is just amazing and perfect for landscape pictures. This place is just majestic, full of history and natural beauty. Numerous benches invite visitors to linger and surely everyone loves this romantic spot with its view over Graz. With restaurants and bars included, leaving no wish unfulfilled. While in Graz a person must take a walk true the old town and there to visit Island on river Mur. When you get to it it just hits you how much art it is included in this town, everything is avantagard and progressive. Called an island, is a ship in fact. It is held by an anchor and is stabilized additionally by the two footbridges connecting it to the river banks. It is shining in bright blue light at night, the Mur Island cannot be overlooked. It is one of a kind futuristic piece of art.  A perfect place to grab a drink and enjoy in the day or in the evening. The building talking its own story just standing there is for sure Kunsthaus – modern art museum, known as locally Friendly alien. The place is really near to the Hotel Weisler that I have wrote about it before. The building shape and colour is just unique and asymmetric piece of art, like from creation of your mind after reading the most adventurous and sci-fi book. Mysterious blue ballon, as many describe it. This building, art piece is one of the most amazing things we have seen in this huge size. Just to walk around the town is interesting and is always something going on, fun place to be! The food and drink will not disappoint you, try some local and their traditional it is super tasty and nutricius. Like for ex. apricot dumplings is a must and a nice glass of local white vine. Like I wrote this was a short trip to Graz but for sure we are coming here for a great weekend getaway in the future and so should you, just follow and book a place to stay directly true triplando.com.
